privacy
What this site stores
Short version: very little, nothing that identifies you unless you choose to send it, and none of it is sold or shared.
Visits and likes
Your browser keeps a random ID (a string of letters and numbers) so that a visit is counted once per session and a like once per person. It says nothing about who you are. No cookies, no IP addresses and no tracking across other websites.
“Was this helpful?” buttons
Stored with the same random ID, so you can change your vote. Only the totals are shown.
Messages you send
When you use the contact form or a “Questions or suggestions?” form, your message (plus your name and email, only if you give them) is emailed to me and kept in a private database so I can reply. Nothing is published. If I'd like to quote your question on the site, I'll ask first and use your first name only. To have your message deleted, email this address.
Spam protection
Forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots, and limit how many messages one connection can send in an hour. The limit uses a one-way scrambled value, not your IP address.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies or personal data.
Bit, the 3D world and sound
Your settings (fun mode, sound, reading mode, achievements) are saved only in your own browser.
